It's not what you know.
It's who you are.
In collaboration with visionary backers and thinkers, we came up with an idea in the springof 1998.
Build a company based on thinkers with perspective and a desire to make tangible STUFF. Create a support community, support the existing community.
Launching a fleet of law information websites in 1999 was tough, but our experience proved strong. DotComitas acquired its first project a few weeks after being open for business, without an office or even a business card.
The facts: DotComitas is small. We plan to remain that way. We supplement our services with a solid network of partners, peers and friends. We have bank accounts, pay our vendors and other bills on time, and plan on longevity by staying nimble and being able to take advantage of opportunities as they arise.
It boils down to this. We use the time-honored method of making things go:
SEE. SKETCH. BUILD.
Sometimes the battle is just getting people to SEE.
Sometimes we have to help enrich the vision with the SKETCH or specification.
Or sometimes we know exactly how to go about it and we skip right to BUILD.
This could mean an implementation of a packaged product, a custom application, or a combination of the two. It could mean a clean-up of data. Setting up a regular maintenance schedule for your equipment or your website content. Training your employees. Selling everyone on a concept and then seeing it through to completion. Creating a schedule and roadmap. All of this puts you on the path to more, better and efficient.
Let's face it, no one "process" is special. We look around, kick the tires, ask questions. We talk to your employees, peers, consultants. We research. We examine the products. Your customers and users. And the competition. Then we think, recommend, and urge you to the best course of action.
Red Rover, Red Rover,
Send Someone Right over.
Scenario: You have a project that needs more resources than you have. The project manager has figured out that you need a person onsite for 5 weeks who has PHP skills. You want to find this skilled person, trust them, and get them in the door without hassle. First step, take a look at DotComitas and see what we've got. We will send you a resource. And you will make your deadline.
As technologies change and we grow, this list changes. But here is a library of the skills we have or can get. If you need something that isn't on the list, contact us to ask.
